CEO, Seán McCrave
An experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the representative industry. Over 30 years experience as a professional business development manager, with proven P&L, change management and people management skills, gained in a non profit and commercial roles. A strategic thinker with a detailed approach to planning and implementation. Numerate and commercially astute. Successful track record, gained at CEO level, of advocacy and representation.
A skilled influencer and leader, with proven ability to work within member organisations and voluntary board structures. Sean has a specialised knowledge of business development, Government liaison, influencing and advocacy. Advocating on behalf of Optometrists and their patients is a vital part of what he does. Sean has previously worked as the CEO of two representative companies and within the Irish media industry, including over 12 years with The Irish Times. He’s involved with a number of charities and married with two daughters.
