Optometric Advisor

‘Optometry Ireland is looking for a new optometric advisor to join the office team. The role is part time (20 hours per week) and a hybrid role. The Optometric Advisor will be an Optometrist who has an interest in the development of the profession of Optometry in Ireland so that it is better positioned to be an integral part of the Health Services by working to the full scope of optometry education and training. With an understanding of the current roles available to the Profession and the challenges facing it into the future, the Optometric Advisor will have a knowledge of the regulatory landscape that applies to the practice of Optometry including CORU (Optical Registration Board) requirements, especially in relation to the Code of Conduct and Ethics for Optometrists and Fitness to Practice processes. ‘
