Dear Members,

I received this communication from Kyrie Therapeutic Farm and wanted to share it with you.

” Kyrie Therapeutic Farm is a registered charity creating a peaceful, working-farm setting where people recovering from mental health difficulties will be able to rebuild confidence, connection and wellbeing. When it opens, Kyrie Farm will be a step-down facility for guests leaving psychiatric hospital, or an alternative to it. The catalysts for recovery at the Farm will be community, meaningful participation in activities, nature, professional support and time.

As we prepare the way, 150 volunteers are already helping to develop the organic farm, get the site ready, and support one another along the journey of creating Kyrie Farm. In many ways, the recovery community is already taking shape.

We are very grateful to Optometry Ireland for its generous donation of €1,500. Support like this makes a real difference: it helps us keep developing the Farm, keep welcoming volunteers, and bring closer the day when guests can benefit from the healing that time on the land can bring. To everyone at Optometry Ireland — thank you!

If you’d like to support us further, please join us for Step Up for Recovery in Malahide on Saturday 26th September. It’s a great morning out for all ages, and every step taken helps someone on their road to recovery. Details and registration at www.kyriefarm.ie.”
