We have received the following from the HSE yesterday evening and although not specifically named it is our understanding that we are included and have written to the HSE to confirm this. It is our understanding that Optometrist fall under the same category as Dentists etc. We will of course keep you fully updated.
From HSE – Dear all,
Please see attached communication from the Chief Clinical Officer of the HSE in relation to the Vaccination Programme for Healthcare Workers. Details of how to register as a Healthcare worker for vaccination are detailed in the attached.
The attached advises that we are asking all frontline staff to register on our online portal. The link to this is in the attached. This link will become available on Tuesday February 9th, 2021. The portal will be used to facilitate scheduling of your vaccination appointment. After registering your details, you will receive a notification with details of your vaccine appointment date and location and a link to re-access the system to consent to the vaccination. If you have any difficulties accessing the portal, please contact your line manager who will support you resolving this issue.
